Good morning to you!! Did you just wake up? Are you sipping your coffee or tea? (I'm drinking my black tea - delish) Is the morning news on in the background like it is for me?! Look at us, waking up together :)
I have been sharing my RIDICULOUS 2014 year with you over the past few days. Let's review what I have shared already that has happened in the last 7 months: 1) I was a finalist for the Golden Apple and went through an incredible and exhausting adventure 2) I had an intern for the very first time during this entire process 3) My very best friend and rock decided to move away. These are some big things.
Today I will share with you the other huge thing that took up a great deal of my time - my big sister's wedding! I, of course, was the maid of honor and with that duty comes a great deal of responsibility. For people who are normal and not crazy in the head like I am, these duties would be manageable without causing an aneurism. For me, however, it was an enormous task. One that I did not take lightly. One that took over my life for a while.
First, there was the bachelorette party and then there was the bridal shower. Jeepers freakin' creepers. I created EVERY single thing for each event. Evvvvvvvverything. It was personalized to the extreme. Let me tell you though, all of the hours and days that I spent making these events perfect paid off. Everything was beautiful and fun and most importantly, my sister was beyond happy!
Today I'll share the bachelorette party with you! Here's a little picture show of the big event!
THE BOSLAND BACHELORETTE PARTY
Location: South Beach, Miami
Date: January 2014
Theme: Glitz and Glam
I went with gold, pink, and black as the main colors. I made sure to keep everything super classy and not tacky at all!
I set up an awesome little drink station where we would all gather to get our drink on!!
Drink Station:
Gold Trays - Target
Drink Shaker - Target
Champagne Flutes - Party City
Personalized Shot Glasses - Etsy: PYDesigned
Table Clothes - Table Linen Direct
I created the "Bachelorette Party Rules" and printed them on cardstock. I found the gold frame at Marshalls. I also made the "Drink If..." game and laminated it. The "Bachelorette Booze" is a bottle of tequila. I spray painted it with chalkboard paint and wrote on it with chalk markers!
One of my favorite parts was the "swag bags" that I made! I bought these adorable canvas bags on Etsy from DreamState. My sister's bag said "Bride to Be", my mom's bag said "Mother of the Bride", the rest of the bags said "Time to drink champagne and dance on the tables". I filled the bags with TONS of goodies. I also made each of the party girls their own little hangover kit :)
I brought tons of yummy snacks and set up a decorations everywhere!
I created a "Tipsy To-Do List" for us to complete by the end of the weekend. We had to complete tasks and add up our points to see if we would earn at least 55 or more! Seeing the girls complete some of these tasks was hilarious!
I made each girl a little "Party Plan", mostly just for fun and because it was cute!
Here's my sweet sister with her Bride to Be glasses!
At the beach we snapped some super cute photos! I won't post them all because my sister would KILL me if I posted pictures of her in a bikini (even though she looks amazing in one!)
I had all the ladies paint their nails pink to match the decor. I asked them to paint ONLY their ring finger with gold polish to make that special finger stand out!
It didn't take long for the drinking to begin! We popped the bubbly and played some silly party games!
I bought all the girls t-shirts to wear and made sure they brought black pants or leggings with them to match! When put together, the shirts display the date that my sister was getting married :)
Here we are, ready to go out and hit the party scene!!
TA-DA!!! It was an amazing bachelorette party and we totally kept it classy ;)
Aw, I'm so sad that it's over. It was fun reminiscing about it with you!!
Tomorrow I will share with you the Bosland Bridal Shower, let me tell you - it was totally radical (hint hint)!
XO LOVE YA!
-K
