ABOUT ME

Hello sweet friends! Thanks for popping by my little blog. I hope you are able to find some fun ideas or resources here! So who exactly am I? I am a krazy kindergarten teacher from Fort Myers, Florida and have been teaching at the most amazing school for 7 years :) If there is one thing I am sure of, it is that teaching is what I was BORN to do. I love every single thing about it. Kindergarten is my happy place :)

My family is my world!
My incredible husband, beautiful stepbabies, and the rest of my incredible family are my life.

We have one spoiled doggy baby named Maggie!

My parents live in Tampa, which is about 2 hours away!

My sister lives close by and is one of my very best friends :)

Wanna join me for a little trip into my past?!

Here we go...
I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri with my wonderful older sister, Amanda (who is also a teacher - 4th grade - totally different teaching universe than mine) and my magnificent, incredible, marvelous parents!

I really had the best life a kid could ask for, full of: love, hugs, food, support, excitement, comfort, toys, fall leaves, snow days, and a fireplace. Gosh, I miss that fireplace.

During my sophomore year of high school we moved to Tampa, Florida. Not at ALL what I was expecting, but I made it out alive. My sister transferred to FGCU in Fort Myers and I followed in her footsteps! We lived together all through college until I graduated a few years back with my BA in Elementary Education, my ESOL Endorsement, and my Reading Endorsement.

ON TO TEACHING!

I entered into my first year of teaching 2 months into the school year. I interviewed at two different schools, one of which I was really hoping for and the other I was a bit iffy about. OF course, I got the job at the school I was unsure of. Boy was I wrong, it was the best thing that ever happened to me! I love my school so darn much. It is full of amazing people and feels like a family. I have taught every year at my school and could not be happier.

There you have it, that's me in a nutshell :)
Thanks for reading, I hope you'll come back again and check out what happens in my kinder-krazy life and share your teaching journey with me!

  1. Hello! I am new to your blog and absolutely LOVE IT! I have taught 6th grade but this year I will be teaching 4th grade. This will only be my 3rd year as a teacher, but I am still going through the license process. If your sister has 4th grade tips like your kindergarten tips, I would love to have them! Thank you for this blog- it is original, fun and full of inspiration! Best, Kim Bracey
